On 11-08-09 at 1412 hrs Officers of the Marshalltown Police Dept were sent to the 1903 Summit St for a reported Burglary in Progress call. Officers surrounded the residence and took into custody two males subjects identified as Matthew Allen Lavender & Jeremy Lynn Lavender.

As officers were checking the residence they discovered a marijuana growing operation in the basement. A search warrant in connection to the marijuana growing operation was obtained and recovered was an estimated 50lbs of both processed & unprocessed marijauna. Also seized was a substantial amount of cash.

Matthew Lavender is charged with;

Burglary 3^rd Degree a Class "D" Felony

3. Juanita Lavender

W.F. 09-15-86

1208 Summit St. Marshalltown, Iowa

Jaunita Lavender is charged with;

Driving While Barred a Aggravated Misdemeanor

4. Dennis Eugene Burns

W.M. 12/10/50

1903 Summit St. Marshalltown, Iowa

Dennis Burns is charged with;

Manufacturing Scheduled 1Controlled Substance a Class "D" Felony

Prohibited Acts a Class"D" Felony

Tax Stamp a Class "D"Felony

The Marshalltown Police Dept was assisted by Agents of the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force during the investigation.

All subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail pending their Initial Appearances in court on 11-09-09
