On Saturday 01-23-10 at 11:35 P.M. the Marshalltown Police Dept responded to a call of an assault at a south side business. When Officers arrived they met with the female victim who reported that she had been sexually assaulted by a male suspect armed with a knife outside by a dumpster in the parking lot.

Officers were provided with a physical and clothing description for the suspect along with the direction the suspect was seen as he fled the scene. Officers checked the area along with a Marshalltown Police Dept K9 team but were unable to locate anyone.

The victim whose name is not being released was transported to MMSC for treatment of her injuries sustained during the assault.

The suspect is described as a W M possibly Hispanic 20-30 yrs old 5’10 Heavy Set with Short Dark Hair. The suspect is also described as having a “Bump” on the bridge of his nose. The suspect at the time of the incident was wearing a Dark Blue Puffy Coat and Sweat Pants.
