Department: Police Department
Date: 06/24/10

On June 14, 2010 at 11:11 p.m., the Marshalltown Police Department responded to a complaint of several male juveniles shooting BB guns at property in the 500 Block of West Nevada St. While Marshalltown Officers were speaking with witnesses, a Marshall County Deputy assisting with the investigation located two of the subjects involved in the reported incident. While conducting a joint criminal investigation, Officers and Deputies located three other male juveniles involved in the misconduct. The investigation resulted in the recovery of four pellet guns and a stolen car stereo. It was also determined that the juveniles were responsible for causing damage to property in the area before being located by law enforcement officers.

Thus far, five juveniles have been charged with Aggravated Burglary to a motor vehicle and multiple Curfew violations, while two of the five have been additionally charged with municipal infractions for shooting pellet guns. Due to our department's current on-going investigation, the names of the juveniles have been withheld at this time.
