The City of Marshalltown Zoning Ordinance regulates signs within the City.

Almost all signs which are erected in the City shall be installed by a licensed sign contractor, and shall require a sign permit

Portable Signs also require a permit. There is no fee for a Portable Sign Permit, however they are limited in use to no more than sixty (60) days in a calendar year.
