Aquatic Center Rules

For All Slides

Swimmers must be 48" tall. NO exceptions! Adults may not take children down the slides with them. Only the provided tubes will be allowed down the slide designated for tubes.

Deep End

Swimmers must be able to pass the deep water test. Even if swimmers pass the test, they still must be at least 48" tall to use the drop slide.

Children Under Age 7

All children under the age of 7 must be actively supervised by a person age 15 or older.

Lazy River

Swimmers must be riding on a tube to be in the Lazy River. Entrance/Exit steps or ramp in the Lazy River must be used to access the Lazy River if the slide is not used.

Tubes

  1. One person only on the one-person tubes.
  2. Only two people on the double tubes.
  3. No one may sit on the lap of another person on the tubes.
  4. Tubes will be either in the hands of those in line for the slide or in the Lazy River. If not, they are to be in the tube corral.
  5. Pool staff may direct people to give up tubes as they pass the end of the Lazy River. This is so everyone gets a turn.

Floatation Devices

Personal flotations like water wings, toddler floating seats, and noodles are permitted at staff discretion. No inner tube-type floats or air mattresses are permitted.

Clothing and Jewelry

Proper swim attire (men's swim trunks and ladies swim suits only) shall be worn. Jewelry or swimwear with rivets are not allowed on the slides.

Coolers, Food, Lawn Chairs

Bringing in coolers and food is prohibited. There are a limited number of chairs at the Aquatic Center. Lawn chairs (not chaise lounges) may be brought and used on the grass areas only.

Phones

A pay phone is available during pool hours at the cost of 25 cents. The office phone is available for use at limited times other than emergencies.

Lockers

There are lockers available but users must provide their own padlocks. Padlocks left on lockers after pool closing will be cut off. You can bring your own padlock or they can be purchased at the concession area. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Pool Closing

The Aquatic Center may be closed due to lack of attendance, bad weather, or when temperature is below 70 degrees.

Lack of Attendance: If there are fewer than 40 swimmers in the first two hours the Center will close and a Come & Go Pass will be issued that can be used when the pool reopens at 4:00 p.m. If attendance drops below 40 after 6:00 p.m., the Center will close for the day.

Weather: Rainchecks will be issued if the pool closes because of rain or thunderstorms. Closings and reopenings will be on local radio stations, Aquatic Center answering machine (844-1515) and Park & Rec recorded information line (754-5779).

Smoking and Alcohol

The entire Aquatic Center grounds and parking area are smoke-free. Smoking, consumption of alcohol or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is cause for ejection.

Bicycles and Skateboards

Bicycles are not allowed in the Aquatic Center. A bike rack is located just west of the Aquatic Center by the bicycle path. A skateboard rack is located just inside the front gates of the Aquatic Center. Padlocks are not provided.
